Kent is definitely a place which is fun and fascinating all year round. The Garden of England, as it is known, has a lot to offer in terms of natural beauty, interesting attractions, culture, history and more. From Canterbury, to Whitstable, to Margate, to Dover; there are lots of incredible places worth visiting in the county as well. Nonetheless, if you are visiting during the current autumn period of 2013 then there are some events going on that you will certainly want to know about. Read on to discover what these are…
• Bonfire & Firework Spooktacular (Saturday 2nd November) – Start off November in style with this fun filled occasion. The Bonfire & Firework Spooktacular event takes place at Kent Life situated in Maidstone. Of course the firework display is the main attraction but you will also get to see amazing fire breathers and the children will have great fun on the fairground rides.
• The Parson’s Pirates (Friday 22nd November) – This event takes place at the Theatre Royal in Margate. It is crazy, cool, clever and captivating. You will get to watch undoubtedly the funniest and fastest production of The Pirates of Penzance you will ever see. Join in with the Reverend Arthur Bender of St Michael’s under-Ware as he begins the audition process for the production. This show is assured to have you smiling and laughing all of the way through. There is no other show like it!
• K’boum(Wednesday 13th November) – K’boum is a brilliant contemporary circus which is coming to Folkestone Quarterhouse in the middle of November. The modern circus is an exciting blend of British and French excellence. From BMX cycling, to break dancing, to tomfoolery; there is so many aspects to get you laughing and thus this is an event that tends to appeal to all people – no matter their sense of humour.
• Secret Garden Pumpkin Day (Sunday 27th October) – If you are visiting Kent towards the end of October then it is only right that you would get involved in some frightful Halloween fun. Collect your entry forms and then get started on carving your pumpkin. Wouldn’t it be a great way to make your vacation by being crowned the winners of the pumpkin carving event? It may not be an Oscar Award, but it is definitely something to brag about! This event takes place at Quex Park Estate which is situated in Birchington.
• Murder Mystery Evening (Friday 15th November) – This event is going to be taking place at The Ferry House Inn. This is situated in the lovely area of Leysdown. The evening is assured to be a fun filled one as there is going to be everything from incredible live actors to simply delicious food. Entertainment and good grub; that is what it is all about!
• JoshWiddecombe: Incidently… (Friday 8th November) – Josh Widdecombe is a comedian who has been making people laugh out loud for a while now. You will have probably seen him on television whilst featuring on the likes of Mock the Week and BBC1’s Live at the Apollo. If you want to have a good giggle this is the event to go to. It is taking place at Folkestone Quarterhouse.
